Manuals; Warranties

Every Toyota vehicle is supported by a 36-month/36,000-mile
limited warranty coverage. But it doesn’t stop there.

On top of our basic coverage, we offer:

Basic Coverage1 36 months/36,000 miles (all components other than normal wear and maintenance items).

Powertrain Coverage1 60 months/60,000 miles (engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel-drive system, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and airbags).

Rust-Through Coverage1 60 months/unlimited miles (corrosion perforation of sheet metal).

For Toyota hybrid vehicles beginning with model year 2020, the hybrid (HV) battery is covered for 10 years from original date of first use or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of your New Vehicle Limited Warranty. See Owner’s Warranty and Maintenance Guide for details.

We are proud to announce a significant enhancement to our Hybrid Battery Warranty. Starting with the 2020 model year, every Toyota hybrid battery warranty is being increased from 8 years or 100,000 miles, to 10 years from date of first use, or 150,000 miles whichever comes first. This enhancement serves as an indication of our confidence in the quality, dependability, and reliability of our products.

On top of our basic coverage, we offer:

Hybrid-Related Component Coverage1 Hybrid-related components, including the HV battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter, are covered for 8 years/100,000 miles. The HV battery may have longer coverage under emissions warranty. Refer to applicable Warranty & Maintenance Guide for details.

Powertrain Coverage1 60 months/60,000 miles (engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel-drive system, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and airbags).

Rust-Through Coverage1 60 months/unlimited miles (corrosion perforation of sheet metal).

Emissions Coverage1 Coverages vary under Federal and California regulations. Refer to applicable Warranty & Maintenance Guide for details.

Toyota Genuine Parts are built to the highest standards of quality, durability and performance. Most have 12-month coverage, and there aren’t many, if any, companies that offer a longer guarantee.

For accessories purchased at the time of the new vehicle purchase, the Toyota Accessory Warranty coverage is in effect for 36 months/ 36,000 miles from the vehicle’s in-service date, which is the same coverage as the Toyota New Vehicle Limited Warranty.1

For accessories purchased after the new vehicle purchase, the coverage is 12 months, regardless of mileage, from the date the accessory was installed on the vehicle, or the remainder of any applicable new vehicle warranty, whichever provides greater coverage, with the exception of car covers. Car covers are warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase and do not assume any coverage under the Toyota New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Every Toyota Certified Used Vehicle is put through a 160-point quality insurance inspection, with each Used Hybrid tested to a 174-point standard. So we thought the TCUV Warranty should be just as thorough.

Each Toyota Certified Used Hybrid and Vehicle comes with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited comprehensive warranty from date of certified purchase.2

Each Toyota Certified Used Hybrid is covered by an 8-year/100,000-mile Factory Hybrid Vehicle Battery Warranty, 5 including the HV battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter. The HV battery may have longer coverage under emissions warranty. Refer to applicable Owner’s Warranty & Maintenance Guide for details.

Additionally, all Toyota Certified Used Vehicles are backed by a 7-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty 3 (from original date of first use when purchased as new). We also add a 1-year 24-hour Roadside Assistance Plan 4 (from original date of TCUV purchase).

    Small overlap front: driver-side

    Rating applies to 2015-17 models

Tested vehicle: 2014 Toyota Camry LE 4-door

The Toyota Camry was redesigned for the 2012 model year. Beginning with 2014 models built after December 2013, the front structure was modified to improve occupant protection in small overlap frontal crashes. (Information about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the certification label typically affixed to the car on the driver door or adjacent B-pillar.)

Beginning with 2015 models, the side curtain airbags were lengthened to further improve occupant protection in this same type of crash. Assessment of side airbag coverage is determined by the Institute based on a test of a 2015 model Camry conducted by Toyota as part of small overlap front test verification for side curtain airbag coverage. All other assessments, ratings, and vehicle specifications are based on an Institute test of a 2014 model Camry built after the front structure was modified.

Action shot taken during the Institute’s small overlap frontal crash test.

The dummy’s position in relation to the door frame, steering wheel, and instrument panel after the crash test indicates that the driver’s survival space was maintained reasonably well in the Institute’s test.

Except for door hinge pillar deformation and parking brake pedal movement (pedal not visible), intrusion into the driver’s space was reasonably well controlled, and risk of injuries to the dummy’s legs and feet was low (Institute test car shown).

    2017 Toyota Camry XSE V-6

The Toyota Camry is the Bud Light of family sedans: it’s inoffensive, reliable, reasonably priced, and gets the job done. And much like that mainstream, low-calorie brew, the American public continues to purchase the Camry in droves. The Japanese family sedan has held the title of America’s best-selling car for 14 years, and, as of this writing, the Camry is on track to once again wear the crown at the close of the 2016 calendar year.

Still, even Anheuser-Busch offers a tangier Bud Light Lime for those wanting to spice up their workaday suds. In the same vein, Toyota gives its customers the opportunity to ditch the Camry’s ho-hum 2.5-liter four-cylinder base engine for a little additional flavor courtesy of a potent 3.5-liter V-6, which powered our 2017 Toyota Camry XSE test car.

    Powered Up

Along with the luxury-oriented Camry XLE, the XSE is just one of two Camry models available with Toyota’s bent-six. Starting at $32,235, the V-6 version is a $5060 upgrade over the 2.5-liter XSE model and also gets LED headlights, a proximity key with push-button start, a power sunroof, power and heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system. The as-tested figure of $34,195 attached to our test car also included the $750 Advanced Technology package (automated emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, lane-departure alert, and adaptive cruise control), which also requires a premium JBL audio system with navigation ($710) and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert ($500).

Armed with 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque, the Camry’s V-6 is stout, yet it makes less power and torque than six-cylinder competitors from Ford, Honda, and Volkswagen. We’ve recorded a 5.8-second zero-to-60-mph time for a similar 2015 Camry XSE V-6, which puts it in league with the Honda Accord V-6 (5.8 seconds) and the Volkswagen Passat V-6 (5.7 seconds). All three cars are naturally aspirated and front-wheel drive, but our 2017 version needed 6.1 seconds to do the deed. That’s still quick, but it’s a full second behind the 325-hp, twin-turbo all-wheel-drive Ford Fusion Sport we recently tested.

While the Camry V-6 may not be the quickest family sedan available, it’s plenty brisk for real-world driving. Thanks to a relatively svelte curb weight (our 3478-pound test example weighed 650 pounds less than the Fusion Sport) and a six-speed automatic transmission that’s fairly eager to kick down, the Camry executed our 50-to-70-mph passing test in 3.9 seconds, 0.3 second quicker than the Accord and 0.1 second quicker than the Passat.

    Trading Grip For Gas

More impressive, though, was the V-6’s fuel efficiency. Rated at 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, the Toyota returned 25 mpg overall, which is 1 mpg better than the EPA’s combined rating. The Camry also annihilated its EPA highway figure with a 35-mpg run on our 200-mile, 75-mph highway loop, a feat that’s as much a credit to the Camry’s well-tuned powertrain as it is to the car’s 0.28 drag coefficient.

Wrapping around XSE-specific 10-spoke, 18-inch wheels, our test car’s Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 all-season tires also aided fuel economy but did not generate much in the way of dry grip. Around the skidpad the Camry squealed mercilessly to the tune of 0.79 g—a surprisingly low figure given that the XSE is the Camry’s sportiest trim level and is fitted with stiffer suspension pieces, extra bracing, and aggressive bodywork. A stiff ride and numb, heavy steering further added to our subjective frustrations. What’s more, a 70-mph-to-zero stopping distance of 189 feet didn’t just trail competitors such as the Fusion Sport (178 feet), Accord V-6 (176 feet), and Passat V-6 (170 feet), it also lagged behind the 187-foot distance we recorded from a 1279-pound-heavier Toyota 4Runner. Once again, our 2015 Camry XSE V-6 performed better, coming to a halt in 178 feet. Credit is likely due to the Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires on the 2015 XSE.

    Flavored Water

The XSE also has the unexciting but appealing qualities that continue to bolster the Camry’s success. A low beltline provides fantastic outward visibility from behind the three-spoke steering wheel, while an ergonomic if overstyled dashboard includes a standard inductive charging pad for compatible smartphones, a number of deep storage nooks, and easy-to-use HVAC and multimedia controls. Specific to the XSE are seats and door panels partially covered in faux suede; it also has a pair of steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters like those in the lower-level Camry SE. As in Camrys past, the trunk is quite roomy and the back seat is among the largest in the mid-size-sedan class and has plenty of space for stretching out.

As is the case with Bud Light Lime, the 2017 Toyota Camry XSE V-6 is surrounded by a number of equally competent and more engaging alternatives. Nevertheless, if forced to choose between bland and somewhat zesty, we favor the latter almost every time. Sure, it’s no Jack’s Abby Brewing Hoponius Union, but the XSE V-6 indeed brings some flavor to the Camry’s table.

    1. Функция определения пешеходов и препятствий на дороге;
    2. Предупреждение об опасности лобового столкновения;
    3. Интеллектуальный круиз-контроль;

Кроме того, автомобиль оснащается новейшим мультимедийным устройством с высоким качеством звучания и множеством различных дополнительных функций.

The 2017 Toyota Camry remains among the most recommendable sedans for a wide range of buyers. Now celebrating its 35th year, there’s no one single reason why the Camry midsize sedan is among the best-selling vehicles in the nation, but rather a combination of winning factors. Whether you desire reliability, efficiency, easy driving manners, great resale value, or some of the latest safety features like automatic emergency braking, the Camry checks all the boxes. Like the Honda Accord, the Camry is available with 4- and 6-cylinder engines, and as a hybrid. It’s not quite the mpg champion, nor is this Toyota known for its grin-inducing driving dynamics. Rather, the Camry excels as a no-fuss commuting companion and comfortable conveyor of family and friends.

Thanks to revised suspension tuning that came with the 2015 revamp, the latest Camry sedan delivers a slightly livelier driving experience. But don’t confuse the Camry for a corner-carver: Its emphasis remains quiet and comfortable road manners. The standard 178-horsepower 4-cylinder engine that most Camry buyers will choose is more than adequate for everyday acceleration and passing power. Linked exclusively to a 6-speed automatic transmission, it is a willing and faithful partner in the city, on country roads, or on interstate highways. Those who opt for the 268-horsepower V6 will be rewarded with surprisingly strong acceleration, a well of power reserves and only a slight reduction in fuel economy. The Camry XSE trim has a sportier flair, but its larger 18-inch wheels and stiffer shocks somewhat diminish ride quality. On the other end of the spectrum, the Camry Hybrid makes 40 mpg a reality with minimal loss of refinement.

    WIRELESS PHONE CHARGING
Tired of stringing wires across your console to charge your mobile devices? The 2017 Camry sedan eliminates this problem with the Qi-compatible wireless charging pad, now standard in XLE and XSE trims. Although most phones require a special case to take advantage of the pad, some newer phones already incorporate the technology.

    SIMPLE CONTROLS
While other cars like the Honda Accord put an emphasis on touch-screen controls for audio and climate functions, the Camry sticks with knobs and buttons. They may look less digital, but in reality they are far easier to use, which we’ll take any day.

The 5-passenger interior of the 2017 Camry isn’t as stylistically forward as its exterior might suggest, but it’s hardly bland. Moreover, it’s supremely functional. Big cup holders and multiple storage nooks surround the sporty gear selector, and even the steering wheel has a familiar feel and looks more sophisticated now with its bevy of integrated controls. In the sportier SE and XSE models, paddle shifters bloom from the steering column for manually selecting gears. The Camry has good room for passengers up front and in back, and the trunk has a sizable 15.4 cubic feet of space. The trunk of Camry Hybrid models is a couple cubic feet smaller, but unlike the Honda Accord Hybrid, its rear seat folds. As mentioned above, the Camry uses traditional knobs and dials around its standard 6.1-inch or optional 7-inch display screen. The controls are big, easy to read and simple to use.

Have you ever seen a more stylish Camry? We haven’t. The significant revisions to the sheet metal that arrived a couple of years ago still look fresh for 2017. Bookended by an eye-catching front end and a nicely detailed rear, the stylish — but not outlandish — Camry is sure to attract new buyers without scaring away longtime devotees. For buyers who want extra edge, the Camry SE and XSE trims offer slightly more aggressive notes with piano-black lower front grille. Part of the beauty of the Camry Hybrid is that it looks similar to a standard model. You’ll have to look pretty closely for that most fuel-efficient of Camrys, distinguished with subtle hybrid badges.

The 2017 Camry sedan is available in four main versions: LE, SE, and two top trims, the XLE and XSE. The least-expensive Camry, the LE, includes an automatic transmission, backup camera, and 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Standard audio/infotainment includes a 6.1-inch touch screen and AM/FM/CD player with USB and auxiliary inputs, and Bluetooth phone connectivity with Siri Eyes Free compatibility for Apple products. The Camry’s safety features include traction and stability controls, 10 airbags, and a battery-saver function that automatically shuts off interior lights if left on. The 2017 Camry also includes Toyota Care — two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance.

Moving up to the SE model nets upgraded cloth seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, a sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, which we think is well worth the $770 bump over the base model. The Camry XLE and XSE include a leather interior with heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a larger display screen with navigation and JBL audio, and the option of a V6. The XSE is the sportier of the pair with an Ultrasuede leather interior, shift paddles, a sport suspension, and 18-inch wheels. All models can be had with a moonroof. The XLE and XSE trims can be equipped with blind-spot monitoring, radar-based cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking. Unlike the Honda Accord, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility are not available on the 2017 Camry.

The 2017 Camry has a choice of three powertrains. Most buyers will be more than satisfied with the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that offers a good blend of performance and fuel economy. Those seeking oodles of smooth power can opt for Toyota’s 3.5-liter V6 engine, but you’ll have to step up to an XLE or XSE trim. The 2017 Camry Hybrid pairs a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor. That model earns up to 40 mpg combined — a high number, but still several below that of the latest Accord Hybrid. All Camry models are front-wheel drive. Gasoline models are linked to a refined 6-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid Camry uses an electronically controlled continuously variable automatic transmission, which has the tendency to drone under acceleration.

    2.5-liter inline-4
    178 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm
    170 lb-ft of torque @ 4,100 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 24/33 mpg

    3.5-liter V6
    268 horsepower @ 6,200 rpm
    248 lb-ft of torque @ 4,700 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 21/30 mpg

    2.5-liter inline-4 gasoline-electric hybrid
200 net horsepower (gasoline + electric combined)

Adding a V6 engine raises the price to $33,415, while Hybrid Camry models start at $27,625. A loaded Camry can reach nearly $35,000.
